Current Opening: Oncology RN
Suncoast Cancer Institute, located in beautiful Sarasota, FL is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) who is dedicated to providing nursing care to Medical Oncology patients to join our private clinic. The position is a full time, 5 days a week Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
In this position you will:
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care needs for patients with cancer.
Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs.
Demonstrate strong teaching and communication skills with patients, family members, and multidisciplinary medical professionals.
Demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Florida RN License or valid multi-state compact license
At least 3 years’ experience in an oncology setting
Chemo mixing experience preferred
Chemo Therapy Administration
Current Oncology certification (OCN) (preferred)
Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills is a must.
